College of higher education (FH) and work. A good combination?
I have a straight answer! Yes it is. It’s a good idea to combine work, with school.
At work you earn money, most of the workflow is known, and often you can integrate the knowledge from the lectures, for work.
I often think, what would be, if I had selected the full time FH. In this case you have more time to study, and I am sure, more time to relax, and more time for friends. But then you only learn the theory. You can’t realise our knowledge.
Of course you have projects, but the project leader is a teacher, not your boss. If you make a big mistake in job, your company loses money and maybe you lose your job. At projects in school, there is no financial part, no contact with the costumer. There you can only get a bad mark.
But there is an other reason why this type of study is very interesting.
In our class there are 32 persons. Nearly everybody is working at a different company. And this is a very good situation. You see what your colleagues are working on. To compare the salary and maybe you can change the company. Like Martin did.
There are other causes why this type of study is very interesting. Maybe someone can add some reasons.
